International Fashional Business is a one-year top-up course, allowing me to change my BA after two years of Fashion Design. My experiences on placement inspired this decision. Transferring to IFB for my final year has given me a more robust understanding of global market trends within the Fashion Industry. I have also developed my analytical and research skills by conducting in-depth brand analysis projects. These all better align with my current career aspirations.
Completing two years of a Fashion Design BA was an enriching experience, and allowed me to conceptualise and create garments beyond what I thought myself capable of. I developed a strong understanding of the complete creative process, from initial designs to creating fully realised garments. With a full year of remote learning, I also expanded my skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, to better present my work in a digital format.
As my A-Levels were in only academic subjects, I had to complete an Access Course in order to develop a portfolio of work in order to apply for Fashion Design at university. This course gave me a grounding in all aspects of Art and Design, including print, photography, life drawing, and digital illustration. Most importantly, this course allowed me to tailor my projects to a fashion focus, and I vastly pushed my creativity to produce a range of garments.

All Graded Modules - Distinction
Entering my A-levels, I had very little idea of what I wanted to do with my life. Therefore, I chose facilitating subjects, with the hope that I could apply to any university course after my two years of study. With four very academically challenging subjects, I worked hard to achieve the following satisfactory grades.

Maths (A level) - A
History (A level) – A
English (A level) – A
Physics (A level) – B
